step 9: conduct tenant screening

step 11: security bonds
Advise the tenant of the amount for the security bond and arrange for the bond to be paid to the Residential Tenancy Bond Authority (link to RTBA website). The RTBA will hold the bond in trust for both parties and by law under no circumstances is the owner or landlord permitted to hold the bond in their private bank account.
step 12: lease signing and handover
Arrange for the lease signing with the selected tenant. Conduct a move-in inspection to document the condition of the property before handing over the keys.
